History in stories: People don’t dance here anymore.

  • Jewish Museum Vienna 11 Dorotheergasse 1010, Vienna Austria (map)

The exhibition not only tells the story of Café Palmhof, but also the life story of Otto Pollak, one that exemplifies Jewish participation in Viennese cultural and social life, but also stands for the “normal life” that ended for many people in 1938 and did not start again after 1945. The educational programs developed by Hannah Landsmann, presented at the event and discussed with you, allow different approaches and take, for example, the historical protagonists of the permanent exhibition into the debate. In this way, the modular, longitudinal work with history becomes an exciting story. We again have a special offer for vocational schools and polytechnic courses. It generally examines the possibilities as well as the limits of commemoration and remembrance work.

An event by the Jewish Museum Vienna in cooperation with erinnern.at.
